Path to Permanent Residency and Beyond

After 7 years of continuous residence, applicants may apply for Right of Abode (permanent residency). After permanent residency, naturalization as a Chinese citizen is possible but subject to strict rules and renunciation of other citizenships, as China does not allow dual nationality.
